In the fall of 2008, I was contacted by a lady from our church and asked to speak at a women’s event the following January on the topic of contentment. Although I have had quite a bit of public speaking experience, I had no idea what God had in store for me once I agreed to speak! It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through, and while I don’t wish to ever repeat the experience itself, I wouldn’t trade the lessons God taught me through it for anything.
