Ultimate Blog Party 2009

March 20, 2009 by natalie

Ultimate Blog Party 2009 Please pardon the short interruption in our Come What May series, but I had to get this Ultimate Blog Party post up today. 🙂 If you’re just joining us, be sure to enter the drawing to win your own free copy of the newly released DVD Come What May!

The 5 Minutes for Mom site is hosting this annual party to help women connect with each other via the blogworld. They are also giving away a ton of prizes that can be claimed by any woman – blogger or non-blogger! (You might be interested to know that I contributed an autographed copy of my new book Pajama School – stories from the life of a homeschool graduate to the prize pool  – it’s #USC52) All you have to do is leave a comment on the official party post on their website to be entered in the drawing for a prize. However, if you are a blogger, you can choose your favorite prizes from the list. Here’s my list of favorites:

1. Kitchen Aid Artisan Stand Mixer contributed by Moms Who Think (#58)

2. Handmade Retro Apron of your choice! by Kati @ Country Girl, City Life and BoojiBoo!! (#USC58)

3. $30 gift certificate to Christian Book Distributors by A High And Noble Calling (#68)

Here are a few others I wouldn’t mind receiving: #69, #88, #USC17, #USC26, #USC47.

To everyone who has made their way here while party-hopping – Welcome! I started this blog at the end of last year, in conjunction with the launch of my new book, Pajama School – stories from the life of a homeschool graduate. (It’s due to be released by the end of April. Yippee!) However, I’ve been blogging for several years on my other internet homes:

Natalie’s Blog – my personal blog

Music Matters Blog – creative, practical, and up-to-date resources for the independent music teacher

Journey to Self-Publishing – a candid account of my experiences as I learn the ins and outs of publishing my own book

Enjoy your visit and come back anytime! 🙂

I’m actually a homeschooler myself. I’ve found the experience really good for me, though of course any type of school has it’s downsides, namely for me my tendency to procrastinate and get distracted. :-/

  70. Carolee says

    March 22, 2009 at 8:20 am

I look forward to reading your book.

I have always been interested in homeschooling, and seriously considered it earlier this year.

My 11 yr. old daughter was diagnosed in October with Juvenile Rheumatiod Arthritis. B-4 diagnoses (the kid could barely walk) the teachers and administration acted like she was faking it. After disgnoses, they are somewhat accomodating, but not much.

My problem with homeschooling, is I question my ability to teach & motivate my children.

    Anywho….party on!

I love the title of your book. I’m always curious about homeschoolers. It is a path I could never follow, but I am interested all the same.

I write about kids, preteens, and teens. Stop on over.

You have a cool site. I am going to show it to my mom. She told me about the blog party at 5min4moms, so I wanted to visit your site. My name is Becca and I have a website about cooking and easy recipes for kids. Have your kids who like to cook stop by for a visit. We have videos of other kids cooking to make cooking easier. Thank you and have fun at the blog party!

Hi, I am a brand new blogger enjoying the party that I stumbled upon. I am really fascinated with your site as I am thinking about homeschooling but haven’t yet. I have a three year old and a seven year old and my husband isn’t sure if he wants to do this. I am planning on coming back. Thank you for all the info.
